Adam Long

Founder & Lead Pilot

Elevation Imagery is a proudly veteran-owned aerial media company based in Columbus, Ohio. Founded by Adam Long, a disabled combat veteran and retired Army Soldier who served as a Military Police NCO and HAZMAT Specialist, we bring military-grade precision, rigorous safety standards, and strict operational discipline to the commercial drone industry.

Adam’s aviation and operational background is extensive. During his service in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he operated Raven-B Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) in combat zones. Following his deployment, he spent 8 years with the 52nd Civil Support Team responding to and mitigating Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) threats. He specialized in predicting atmospheric hazard dispersion, managing highly technical equipment, and coordinating complex, multi-jurisdictional missions with local, state, and federal agencies.

Today, Adam leverages this high-stakes operational planning to execute complex commercial drone flights. As a fully licensed FAA Part 107 commercial pilot, his focus is on mitigating risk, managing complex airspace, and capturing striking visual data for real estate, construction, and commercial mapping.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Security and Intelligence from The Ohio State University. He lives in Columbus with his wife and two children, and is dedicated to serving his local community with the same integrity he brought to his military career.
